I'm different than a lot of Minneapolis headshot photographers in my choices of color use, retouching, and lighting style. I follow in the old beauty lighting of headshot photographers from the golden age of film, but add in current retouching and lighting effects.
These headshots here in this gallery represents my more beauty style work, and I can do a headshot either in this style or toned down a bit to suit your needs. |

A headshot is a calling card, and the first sentence of a book. It's the first thing many clients will see of you, and usually the thing they have on hand to identify you. This is not something you can take lightly, and not something we take lightly as headshot photographers. Styles can vary a little, and it's best to search for examples (locally and nationally) of poses and expressions you like and you need for your headshot. |

The few different kinds of headshots break down into (in a nutshell) Smile and Approachable to Serious and fashion. What you would need as a actor, model, business person depends on the intended use of your image, and what your clients would expect. It's my job to help with this as well, but as with any shoot it's best to approach this with research on what you want to accomplish and examples you like – it's almost like getting a haircut, and just as easy. |

For more information I recommend talking with your agent (if you're a model or actor) and I always suggest researching so you can make the best and informed decision.
